Why does my laptop make odd noises from the headphone port?

I have an Advent 7110 Laptop. Every since I have had it, it has made odd noises when I use the headphone slot. In terms of the Laptops own speakers they are fine and there is no audio trouble but when I decide to use the headphone output to listen using headphones or plug it into something such as an amplifier it gives off this strange noise. The noise is hard to describe, it's kind of a buzzing, wavy noise. I believe it is connected to how the Laptop is working, it is though I can hear the laptop processing things. It sounds like the headphone output is linked to the processor or something. I believe it is linked to how the laptop works because it seems to have a link to the processing light on the laptop and also before there was a beeping noise as well as the buzzing however when I disabled the laptops infra-red the beeping stopped. Can anyone explain what this noise might be and how I could possibly get rid of it! Thanks very much :)

Is my instinct right?

My husband and I have a friend that is single and does not want to really be in a relationship. However on a recent group trip to Cuba we had a couple situations arise and nwo I am not sure what to do. There were a lot of couples that went with us and a couple single guys. The next night my sister in law came yo me and told me that the other day she had felt like someone was watching her and when she would turn around this "guy" would be putting down his camera...two toher girls also came up to me on the trip and let me know the same thing...So I told my husband about it. This guys is one of his good friends and it was hard to bring it up...plus I had no proof. My husband confronted this guys and he denied the whole thing! said he would never do something like that and made a big deqal about him even being accused...Hoever that feeling remains and now I am not sure whow to handle this guy anymore...Opinions on this situation??

I didn't weep rivers of tears, but it did make my eyes water. I had to leave to go to my dorm and let it all out. I'm sorry; I couldn't help it. Are men considered less manly or weak of they commiserate anywhere outside of a funeral? Is mourning a sign of femininity and a subtle loss of masculinity? I remember the famous like "There's no crying in baseball," by Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own. What about football? I remember John Elway and Bret Favre getting emotional during their farewell speeches. Magic Johnson did the same thing. By my definitions these guys are considered alpha males. I don't think most men would fight them in a dark alley. If Arnold Schwarzenegger or Vin Diesel's children were dying of cancer, would they be allowed to weep? Or would everyone expect them to put on the same tough guy facades they exhibit in their films?

Why do girls wear Snow Boots in the summer?

Uggs aren't snow boots. They are fashion boots. I live in Canada and I have seen first hand what happens to uggs in snow, slush and ice. Not pretty. It ruins them. However I agree that wearing fur lined boots with shorts and a little tank top when it's over 75F or 25 Celsius looks ridiculously silly. If it's hot enough for shorts and a tank top, it's too hot for fur lined boots.

Of course i will! What a great Idea! you sure are a good friend to try all you can to help! I just had surgery last week and am cancer free! I wish it was that easy for people with Leukemia. I will try to tell all my friends to join as well! Hey you could also try making a support group website that he can go to with pictures of him and notes from friends etc. But when it really comes down to it, just being there for him to talk to will make the biggest difference. Having someone to talk to who has been there since the beginning is important. So stick close to him (even if he gets overly depressed) you don't always have to say something to try and make him feel better. some times it just sounds like its being said just to say something. Why are my debit card transactions still pending?

Deposited my check Saturday night for $219. The bank was open on Sunday from 1:30-4:00. Anyway, made an online purchase on Sunday for $101, later on bought a wallet for $21, bought dinner for $17, bought my boyfriend cigarettes for $6,all of that on sunday, and then he used my card yesterday for $6. My puppy comes accross as aggressive.?

Well, thats what people think when in fact he is absolutely harmless and really affectionate. When children approach he barks and runs to me. When hes playing in the frontgarden with our younger pug (hes a pug too, 7 months now) a neighbour will come up to the gate asking if they can pet them and i say yes but my pug just barks at them. i have to go up to the 'stranger' with him and hell have a bark but then hell approach them and wag his tail and lick their hands. So, really he needs to be given a chance but when its children they dont understand. I tell them he wont bite but he bark at them and runs to them. (his tail will wag if he gets close enough but theyll sort of lean forward with their hand out - which ive heard leaning over is seen as threatening to a dog) Then he will run back to me and bark. Ive tried getting him used to children. One of my mums friends came round with her child. Milo barked at him. I have been dealing with a very stressful year( a burglary and job loss) and I noticed that I began to gain weight about 6 months ago. I've always had a slim, muscular build and very narrow hips. Since I have narrow hips, even the slightest bit of love handles look a bit strange on me as that is where I mostly gained the extra pounds. Through the ab workouts I've committed to, I'm happily on my way to a defined six pack.(Mel B is my inspiration) But this bit of back fat and side handles won't budge! I have since returned to minimal lifting, walking and bike riding 6 to 7 days out of the week in order to regain some peace about my body. I used to drink a lot of vegetable juice (just about everyday), which seemed to abate any "tummy trouble" until my juicer finally gave out. I won't have the money for another one until August. Any tips in the meantime? Should I focus on back exercises as well as abdominal exercises?

Absence from work due to road conditions?

What's happening to my little tree?

Last summer, I got a Seven Sons Flowering tree. It's such a tiny thing really, but it's supposed to be a fast grower. Anyway, I planted in the ground and it did well all winter. About a month ago, I noticed my landscaper had nicked it with the gr trimmer, so I cut the nicked portion off, which was a good 5-6 inch branch. Wanting to avoid having that happen again, I dug it up and potted it until it could grow bigger and put it in a safe place in my garden where it still gets lots of sun. Then, a couple weeks later, I noticed another nick that I apparently overlooked the first time, so I trimmed the tree again just below the nick. Now, it's really really small, but it doesn't seem to be doing well. The leaves are wilting and it's not from lack of water. My mother told me her husband once nicked one of their tiny new trees and the tree ended up dying. I don't want that to happen! Why can't I download youtube videos into my ipod using Ares Tube?

I have the Ares Tube program and have gone through all the settings to make sure its correct. I've selected my videos and when it's done downloading, it automatically pulls up the iTunes program. But when I look for it on the iTunes, it's not there. I go to my c: drive under the Ares Tube download file, and it is not there either. I've tried multiple times to download videos and each time it states the download is 'done' but each time I don't see the video in my ipod. Thing is I used this very same program in the past (as recently as four weeks ago) and it has worked. I have been able to download at least 15-20 videos but now it suddenly does not work! I've even gone so far as to delete the program and downloaded it again. Can anyone please tell me what could be the problem?

I LOVE stove top as well as jellied/canned cranberry so I will have them but I also need a REALLY good recipe for homemade stuffing (for in the turkey) and then for homemade cranberry sauce as well. Dessert will be apple crisp, pecan pie tarts, a pumpkin cheese cake, maybe a berry pie as well. And porbably some orted cookies. I am making warm spiked cider, as well as a kid freindly version regular. Electrical engineering student who's taking Financial Accounting as an elective course?

I'm studying electrical engineering and I took Financial Accounting as a free elective because my friends told me that it's an easy course and since I'm an engineering student I can figure it out more easily than Business Administration & Economics students but the point is, I couldn't really focus much on Financial Accounting during the semester because I had to focus on my own area courses so, I screwed badly in Financial Accounting midterms. Now it is the final exams period, and I don't believe in myself that I can recover myself from failing from this course or getting a D - which will lower my GPA. So, next semester I'm thinking of taking something else as a free elective to substitute that course. Now my concern is, if I apply for an admission to MSc. in Electrical Engineering or MSc. in Business Administration, will it cause a bad impression on the decision committee that I've got a F from Financial Accounting.

How to raise a baby Quail?

Hello, I have a small quail egg that I would like to raise. I know that they are a lot like chickens, turkey, pheasants, and other birds of that family. Right now, my Diamond Doves are incubating the egg, since I have nothing better. Doves are used to foster finch eggs, or eggs of birds that are smaller in size, so I figured it would be alright. You only have one chance in your life for this, so the judge looks very carefully. There are other ways to get around if he the judge doesn't approve it..... such as where you fill out a application to voluntarily leave the country... and if it's approved, it's as if you were never in the untied states ever. So then you can go back to your country and apply for a visa and do things the right way. =] Trust me there are even more but if I named them all it would be forever... you might also want to look into the refugee thing..
