How long does ugg waterproof spray last? does it work? is it sold at most stores?

i really like the look of the ugg boots, but my friend was pointing out how they were not waterproof for her. so just recently i heard they have a waterproof spray? i wanted to know if it works and if it is sold at the same stores that you buy your uggs?
