Do penguins have anything to do with ity?

You see I was in a store called "silver dragon" and they had a shelf with gay pride things. Like, rainbows, and interlocking male signs. Stuff like that. I mean a WHOLE bunch. The whole shelf. Then right in the middle was statues of penguins. I just was wondering if it had anything to do with it. Penguins are pretty cool. Did gay people steal them as a mascot. By the way I dont want to be offensive, I like you guys. I wanna give you a big hug :) But seriously. Penguins. Are they gay?
