Working on gaining lean muscle and a Mel B. tummy^-^. How do I get rid of the stubborn love handles?
I have been dealing with a very stressful year( a burglary and job loss) and I noticed that I began to gain weight about 6 months ago. I've always had a slim, muscular build and very narrow hips. Since I have narrow hips, even the slightest bit of love handles look a bit strange on me as that is where I mostly gained the extra pounds. Through the ab workouts I've committed to, I'm happily on my way to a defined six pack.(Mel B is my inspiration) But this bit of back fat and side handles won't budge! I have since returned to minimal lifting, walking and bike riding 6 to 7 days out of the week in order to regain some peace about my body. I used to drink a lot of vegetable juice (just about everyday), which seemed to abate any "tummy trouble" until my juicer finally gave out. I won't have the money for another one until August. Any tips in the meantime? Should I focus on back exercises as well as abdominal exercises?
