Is it ok for my 5th grade daughter to have a boyfriend?

They have always been really good friends, and it's nothing more than that, really, totally platonic, but now they say they are "dating". We are good friends with the family, as well. I see nothing wrong with it, and think it's cute, but my husband, the more he thinks about it, is uncomfortable with it.
