Does anyone stand with me on the beliefs of Santa being a crucial part of Christmas?
Okay, so I just out grew the santa thing a few years ago. I'm 14 and I'll turn 15 on Christmas day, so christmas has always been a big part of my life. Especially the Santa part. Every year I see less and less excitement involving santa, less anticipation and more aggravation as greedy kids open there hands and wait for daddy to give them that new cell phone because they ume he can afford it. When I was a child, which wasnt long ago, those were all grownup things and we hoped santa would give us a doll, and the rest of christmas was pure ecstasy waiting for it to arrive. Kids now dont even wait, I see children getting there presents early because 'they want it now, and dont care'. I believe somewhere out there, we need to stop this. Media needs to put a hault on this, sit back and realize kids are still kids. We need room to grow and to believe. I want my kids to read 'yes Virginia, there is a Santa clause'. I don't want them to be doomed to a future of consumerism and greed.
