Did many Hollywood movie actors/actress participated in the Church of Satan during the 1960s?

I read online and some books that several actors/actress such as Jayne Mansfield and Sammy Davis Jr. were part of the Church of Satan during the 1960s. I wonder was this true, and how much did they participate in its rituals.
